Mr Kipling — Piano

Everything, without a word.

One of my favourite challenges in advertising, and in short form generally, is distilling a story down to its simplest and therefore most effective form. Too much short content tries to do too much and forgets that clarity of story and concept has always been the most effective marketing. That’s exactly why I love this film. It conveys the warmth of a special bond built over years of repetition, and no one utters a single word. It’s all about the unspoken connection between a father and daughter, told through a shared song at the piano and what passes between their eyes.
